Your battery is the life of your car. It's needed to start the engine, play your favorite songs on the radio, and store power for your lights. Here are some common questions about batteries and some signs that it's time to replace them:
Why does my battery light come on?
Most of the time, your battery icon lights up when the battery isn't charging. If this happens to you, you should have your alternator checked. Your vehicle's alternator charges your battery. If the battery is not charging, the alternator may not be working. A technician can examine your alternator belt to confirm it's doing its job and is in good shape.
But in other instances, the issue may be the battery itself. In those cases, you will usually have to replace it.
Why does my battery keep dying?
Batteries are energy sources that use electricity to send power to your vehicle. If this electricity is somehow interrupted, it can cause the battery to die.
