The month of April has been designated by the Car Care Council as a time to bring awareness to vehicle owners. As industry professionals, our job is to remind motorists of the benefits of driving a well-maintained vehicle.
Your vehicle should be maintained on a regular schedule. Just like that loose doorknob or the drippy faucet in your home, that can be easily repaired, your vehicle can have small problems that go unnoticed until someone points them out. Low tire pressure, worn wiper blades, low washer fluid, low engine oil, low fluids, worn drive belts, and corroded battery cables are small problems that may have a larger underlying issue or may escalate to a bigger problem. Getting into a service routine gives the technician the opportunity to check under your car and help you become more car care aware. Have you ever heard Ben Franklin's quote, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?" Staying informed about the condition of your vehicle can save you money and inconvenience in the long run. I'll be back next week, and we'll discuss maintenance schedules.
